Founded in 2009 and based in Canada, GoodMorning.com is a pioneer of the online mattress field responsible for setting several industry-wide standards, namely the risk-free sleep trial. They’re known for selling Canadian-made high-tech and eco-friendly mattresses of all types at low price points. Currently, they offer six mattresses to suit a variety of preferences and sleeping habits: three foams, one spring mattress, one hybrid, and one latex mattress.
This review focuses on one of GoodMorning.com’s most high-tech selections, the Recore. Made with three layers of specialty foam, it’s designed to provide all the comfort and contouring of memory foam while addressing all of the issues traditionally associated with this material. The graphite latex comfort layer and cooling gel-infused transition layer keep the mattress heat-wicking and cool. The exceptionally thick high-density support foam base layer prevents the sinkage typically found in memory foam. Finally, the whole thing is covered in a breathable, silver ion-infused fabric to keep the bed allergen and microbe-free.

Mattresses come in a variety of firmness levels ranging from 1 to 10, with 1 being the softest and 10 being the most firm. These different firmnesses can further be grouped into soft (1-3), medium (4-6), and firm (7-10). The vast majority of reviewers rank the Recore mattress in the medium category, earning it a solid 6 on the scale. This category of firmness is the most versatile of the options and should suit most sleepers, regardless of their sleeping position.
The Recore mattress is able to be shipped anywhere in Canada. It can only be purchased online, through GoodMorning.com’s Recore website, as the brand doesn’t sell on Amazon or operate any in-person stores.
The Recore mattress is made out of three layers of foam topped by a washable cover sewn with silver thread for antimicrobial properties. At the top sits a 1.5-inch comfort layer made out of 14 IFD graphite latex foam. The heat-wicking graphite regulates sleepers’ core temperatures to keep them sleeping cool, while the synthetic latex keeps the mattress allergen-free. Underneath is a 2-inch transition layer made of 17 IFD foam, infused with gel for further cooling properties. Finally, it features a 7-inch base layer, which isa much thicker than the average base layer in foam mattresses. This layer is high-density 34 IFD foam, which keeps the whole thing supported and stabilized for maximum motion isolation.
GoodMorning.com offers free shipping, via FedEx, to most locations in Canada, with additional fees applying to “remote areas”. Delivery takes 1-5 days after a processing period of up to 5 days. Mattresses are compressed and shipped in a cardboard box. No assembly is required beyond unpackaging and decompression, which GoodMorning.com recommends allowing for at least 30 minutes.
GoodMorning.com does not appear to offer additional delivery services like white glove delivery or mattress pick-up.
GoodMorning.com offers a 120-night trial, beginning on the day of arrival. The trial requires customers to try out their mattresses for at least 30 nights. Mattresses can be picked up for a full refund within the duration of the sleep trial.
GoodMorning.com offers a 15-year prorated warranty with every mattress, beginning on the day of delivery. The brand will repair or replace the mattress at their discretion, provided the defects in question fit a list of requirements available on their website.
Recore Mattress Performance
For sleepers who share a bed, good motion isolation is essential in a mattress to prevent you from being disturbed by your partner’s movement throughout the night. This has a lot to do with the conformity of a mattress. The more a mattress “hugs” you, the more motion it isolates. Foam mattresses offer the best motion isolation, while bouncier mattresses made out of latex and innerspring offer less.
Because the Recore is made from latex foam, it offers superior motion isolation without compromising its bounce. The majority of reviewers who mentioned motion transfer praised the mattress for isolating movement so well that they couldn’t feel their partners’ movements throughout the night.
Edge support refers to how much the perimeter of the mattress will support your weight when sitting or lying near or on the edges of the bed. It’s important to find a mattress that provides sufficient edge support so you don’t sink or roll-off or experience long term sagging.
Generally speaking, foam and latex mattresses offer less edge support than innerspring mattresses. The Recore mattress is no exception. The majority of reviewers who mentioned edge support reported that it was soft around the perimeter and would sink when sat upon. This is one compromise with all-foam mattresses.
How cool you sleep throughout the night depends on your mattress’ heat retention abilities. The denser and more conforming a mattress is, the more heat it retains, so traditional all-foam mattresses are notorious for being too hot.
The Recore addresses this problem by using graphic latex foam in its comfort layer and cooling gel foam in its transitional layer. Both materials are inherently more cooling than foam, with graphite latex regulating heat to help you maintain a cool core temperature, and the two layers work together to wick heat away from the body.
When you first unbox a lot of online mattresses, particularly those made with foam or latex, you may notice a slight to strong smell that lasts anywhere from a few hours to a few days. This smell won’t be an issue after it dissipates, but some sleepers may find it inconvenient for the first days of use.
The Recore bed, which is made with a combination of different types of foam, including latex foam, has less off-gassing than typical foam mattresses. Most sleepers won’t notice any odor, and for those that do, it should dissipate within 24 hours.
Because they tend to sink or sag, traditional memory foam mattresses aren’t exactly known for their support. The Recore fixes this by using 7 inches of high-density foam in its base layer. This layer keeps everything stabilized while the top two layers work together to offer targeted pressure point relief while still promoting spinal alignment. Most reviewers praised the Recore for its overall support.
Despite their bounce, latex mattresses actually conform quite well to sleepers’ bodies. Because the Recore’s comfort layer is made out of graphite latex foam, it’s highly responsive, providing plenty of cushion, contouring, and pressure point relief without sinking or sagging the way traditional memory foam does.
While memory foam mattresses can have a reputation for splitting apart or crumbling with use, the Recore’s high-density and enhanced foam layers ensure stronger durability. Additionally, the mattress topmost cover is threaded with silver to prevent the build-up of bacteria and protect the top layers of the mattress while requiring less frequent cleaning.
How good your mattress is for sex is dictated largely by its bounce. Generally speaking, the bouncier and less conforming a mattress is, the better it is for sexual activity or repositioning in general. This means all-foam mattresses are traditionally less suitable for sex than bouncier mattresses like those made from latex and innersprings.
Because the foam used in the Recore’s top layer is made out of graphic latex, though, it’s bouncier than traditional memory foam. In fact, reviewers many reviewers singled out its bounce for praise.
In general, innerspring mattresses and hybrid mattresses made with innersprings make the most noise, while foam and latex mattresses are very quiet. The Recore's foam composition means that you won't hear the bed when you, your partner, or pet moves overnight.
How Do Customers Rate the Recore Mattress?

What Type of Sleeper Is Well Suited to a Recore Mattress?
Side Sleepers: The Recore is an excellent choice for side sleepers who need a balance of reactivity, plushness, and support. The graphite latex foam in the comfort layer is responsive enough to keep the hips and shoulders cushioned, while the density of the 7-inch support core prevents any excess sinkage and promotes spinal alignment. Additionally, the memory foam transition layer distributes weight evenly for targeted pressure point relief, which is especially important for side sleepers.
Back Sleepers: The Recore’s medium firmness is designed to accommodate sleepers of all positions, so back sleepers will find it just as suitable for their needs. Its responsive graphite latex foam will prevent the sleeper’s lower back from curving too much, while its high-density base is firm enough to keep the entire body in a straight line.
Stomach Sleepers: Although stomach sleepers traditionally work better with firmer mattresses that aren’t made with foam, the Recore is an exception to this rule. The bouncy graphite latex in the comfort layer will prevent stomach sleepers’ heads and upper bodies from sinking too much into the mattress, while the density of the base will keep the abdomen supported enough for optimal spinal alignment.

The Recore is exceptional for being an all-foam mattress that combines the best qualities of latex and foam mattresses while minimizing the shortcomings usually found in these materials. Both of its top-most layers utilize specialty technology to give the mattress heat-wicking properties, which keeps it as cool as latex and cooler than memory foam. Meanwhile, its exceptionally thick support core gives it more support than its all-foam and latex competitors. Finally, the allergen- and microbe-repelling cover keeps it lasting longer than most mattresses that don’t contain innersprings.
The only drawback is the Recore’s availability and warranty. Currently, the Recore is only available for purchase in Canada, so sleepers in the United States will have to look elsewhere for a latex foam alternative. Additionally, its 15-year warranty is on the lower side compared to some of the lifetime warranties offered by other competitors in the industry.
Still, its medium-firmness, combination of comfort and support, and allergen-free materials means it should accommodate most sleepers, regardless of sleeping position. If you happen to live in Canada, then the Recore is an excellent, high-tech latex mattress being sold at foam prices.
