OkiOki’s founders had years of experience in the furniture industry, and they pooled their skills to create a company that would disrupt the sleep industry. Today, the company works to offer truly affordable mattresses made of high-quality materials, unlike the higher-priced mattresses offered by competitors. OkiOki created four mattresses to accommodate customers’ different sleep preferences.

  • The OkiSoft, the softest mattress available, is a memory foam mattress that features a soft, plush top that cradles and cushions. This medium-soft mattress features a base layer of high-density polyurethane foam that is topped by a 3-inch memory foam comfort layer.
  • The OkiFirm, the company’s firmest mattress, is made with graphite foam which creates a firmer feel with extra support. This firm mattress features a transition layer of 7 inches of high-density polyurethane foam that is topped with a 3-inch graphite foam cushion layer. The graphite foam offers plenty of support without the sinking feeling that memory foam can create.
  • The OkiEasy is a medium-soft hybrid mattress. Foam-encased coils create extra support and a 2-inch layer of memory foam offers both pressure relief and comfort.
  • The OkiFlex is a medium-firm hybrid mattress. Its construction is similar to the OkiEasy, but a 2.5-inch transition layer of two-part high-density polyurethane foam gives the mattress a firmer feel.

Despite their different constructions, OkiOki sells all of these mattresses for the same price. You’ll enjoy a 365-night sleep trial no matter which mattress you purchase, and all of the mattresses work with different types of bases, including box springs and adjustable bases. The mattresses are all backed by a 10-year limited warranty. In this guide, we’ll give you a detailed look at each of the four OkiOki mattresses.

OkiOki mattress construction
Construction

OkiSoft

The OkiSoft mattress is made up of four different layers. The 1-inch base layer is made of high-density polyurethane foam. A 6-inch transition layer of high-density polyurethane foam provides support and prevents sinking, and it’s topped with a 3-inch transition layer made of high-grade memory foam that allows for air circulation. The mattress is covered by a hypoallergenic yarn zip cover for temperature regulation.

OkiFirm

The OkiFirm features a 1-inch base layer of high-density polyurethane foam topped by a transition layer of 7 inches of high-density polyurethane foam. The top comfort layer is made of 3 inches of graphite foam which offers support without sinking quite as much as memory foam does. The mattress’ yarn zip cover is hypoallergenic and aids in temperature regulation.

OkiEasy

The OkiEasy’s base layer is made up of 1 inch of high-density polyurethane foam. Foam-encased pocket coils independently react to pressure and create a reinforced core and edge support. Those coils are topped by a 2.5-inch transition layer of high-density polyurethane foam for support and a top cushion layer of 2 inches of memory foam contours to your body. The mattress features a hypoallergenic yarn zip cover that helps with temperature regulation.

OkiFlex

The OkiFlex also features a 1-inch base layer of high-density polyurethane foam topped with a layer of foam-encased pocket coils that allow for independent reaction to pressure. The 2.5-inch transition layer of high-density polyurethane foam creates firm support and the 2-inch memory foam cushion layer contours for complete support. The hypoallergenic yarn zip cover aids in temperature regulation and keeps you from overheating.

Shipping

OkiOki ships mattresses within the United States and shipping is free, except if you live in Alaska or Hawaii. The company does not ship internationally. Each mattress is compressed, wrapped in plastic, and shipped in a cardboard box. Smaller items ship via FedEx Ground, while larger items are shipped by local trucking companies. These larger items are delivered curbside and you will be responsible for moving the item into your house, but the shipper will call you to schedule a delivery date and time. Products ship within one to two business days after purchase and shipping takes between five and seven business days.

Additional Service

OkiOki does not offer white glove delivery but suggests mattress removal options like hiring a recycling company such as LoadUp or ERS Hauling Solutions to remove the old mattress.

Sleep Trial

OkiOki’s sleep trial is 365 nights. There is no cost for returning a mattress, and OkiOki arranges for pickup in the continental United States and gives you a full refund. Returned mattresses are donated to local charities or recycled.

Warranty

OkiOki mattresses come with a 10-year Limited Warranty for the mattress’ original purchaser. Using your mattress without a firm, solid foundation will void the warranty. The warranty covers issues like sagging in the mattress that’s greater than one inch deep, and splitting or cracks in the foam.

OkiOki Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

All OkiOki mattresses are made with either memory foam or graphite foam layers, which help to absorb motion and prevent motion transfer. Of the four mattresses, the OkiSoft and OkiFirm offer the best motion isolation properties. The OkiEasy and OkiFlex still offer substantial motion isolation, though the hybrid design and inclusion of pocket coils can make for slightly more motion transfer.

Edge Support

The OkiSoft and OkiFirm do not feature edge support. The OkiEasy and OkiFlex both have pocket coils which provide all-over support and reinforce the mattress edges. This edge support increases the mattress’ durability and can make it easier to get into and out of bed at night.

Heat Retention

All OkiOki mattresses feature an Ice Yarn Zip Cover that feels cool to the touch and that helps to keep you cool during the night. The OkiSoft mattress’ cushion layer is made of porous memory foam that allows for air circulation to help regulate temperature. Similarly, the OkiFirm’s cushion layer of graphite foam is also porous to promote air circulation. The OkiEasy and OkiFlex mattresses’ hybrid design includes pocket coils which naturally help move air through the mattress.

Off-Gassing

OkiOki mattresses are all made of non-toxic foams. The mattresses may generate a “new mattress” smell after being unpackaged, but that smell dissipates within a few days. These mattresses do not create a strong off-gassing smell.

Support

Thanks to their hybrid design and the inclusion of pocket coils, the OkiEasy and OkiFlex offer the most amount of support. Of the two, the OkiFlex is the most supportive choice. The OkiFirm is also constructed to give extra support, while the OkiSoft provides the least amount of support.

Conforming

The OkiSoft, OkiEasy, and OkiFlex mattresses all have a comfort layer of memory foam which conforms to your body while relieving pressure points. The OKiFirm’s graphite foam comfort layer also conforms but offers a firmer feel with a bit more support than memory foam alone provides.

Durability

Of the OkiOki mattresses, the OkiEasy and the OkiFlex are the most durable, thanks to the presence of pocket coils. These pocket coils add durability to the mattresses, overall, but also provide valuable edge support and reinforcement. All OkiOki mattresses have a 10-year limited warranty that protects against sagging over 1”, attesting to the mattresses’ overall durability.

Sex

The OkiSoft’s memory foam is comfortable and soft, but it can be difficult to move and reposition yourself. The OkiFirm still offers comfortable contouring, but this firmer mattress makes moving and repositioning yourself easier. The OkiEasy and OkiFlex’s pocket coil construction make the mattresses more supportive and make repositioning easier.

Noise

Both the OkiSoft and OkiFirm are nearly silent mattresses, thanks to their all-foam construction. The OkiEasy and OkiFlex have slightly more noise because of their pocket coil layer, but the coils are all individually wrapped in memory foam which helps to minimize noise so you can shift or get out of bed without disturbing your partner.

What Type of Sleeper Is Well Suited to an OkiOki Mattress?

Side Sleepers: Side sleepers need a mattress that promotes proper spinal alignment without creating pressure points on the shoulder or hips. Many side sleepers find softer mattresses to be most comfortable, though some prefer firmer mattresses that don’t allow the body to sink in as much. Side sleepers may find the OkiSoft or the OkiFirm most comfortable because of their foam construction and their ability to relieve pressure points.

Back Sleepers: For back sleepers, a mattress that properly aligns the spine and neck is critical to overall comfort and quality sleep. These mattresses need to offer some pressure relief, but a mattress that lets sleepers sink in too deeply can create pain and stiffness from poor spinal alignment. An ideal mattress for back sleepers conforms to the bodies without sagging. The OkiEasy and OkiFlex both offer this conforming property blended with adequate support.

Stomach Sleepers: Stomach sleepers need a mattress that provides exceptional support, particularly in the stomach area, where a large amount of a sleeper’s weight is concentrated. Many stomach sleepers prefer a firmer mattress that provides plenty of support, making the OkiFlex, with its firmer feel and supportive pocket coils, an appropriate choice.

Our Verdict

If you’re looking for a quality mattress at a great price, an OkiOki mattress might be just right for you. Unlike other mattress companies that offer mattresses at only one firmness, with OkiOki, you can choose from a variety of firmness options, as well as full foam or hybrid mattress models. OkiOki’s multiple mattress models mean you can choose the option that works best for your sleep preferences. Mattress firmness options range from medium-firm to firm, so while sleepers who prefer a very soft mattress won’t find what they’re looking for, these options give most sleepers plenty of choices.

While OkiOki doesn’t have any brick-and-mortar stores, the 365-night sleep trial means you can try one of these mattresses and return it for a full refund if it’s not right for you. OkiOki is a relatively new company, but all of the mattress models have received largely positive reviews. These four mattresses include the features and quality materials that you would expect from a more expensive mattress, yet their highly affordable pricing indicates OkiOki’s dedication to providing affordable options and price transparency in the mattress industry.
